Workers' compensation issues files, 1982-1986.

Files kept by Department of Labor and Industry Commissioner Steve Keefe. They document his 1982 activities as chair of the Citizens League Worker's Compensation Committee (prior to his appointment as commissioner); speeches concerning workers' compensation; and numerous studies of the state workers' compensation law, particularly the 1983 amendments [Laws 1983 c290]. The studies, many done by the department's Research and Education Division, cover such aspects of the law as the rehabilitation system, effects on small business, permanent partial disability, insurance deregulation, and closed claims.
